General
GW7B isolating switch is a kind of outdoor HV electricity transmission equipments at three-phase AC frequency of 50/60Hz. It is used for breaking or connecting HV lines under no loads so that these lines can be changed and connected and the way the electricity runs is changed. In addition, it can be used to exercise safe electrical insulation for such HV electric apparatuses as bus and breaker. The switch can open and close inductance/ capacitance current and is able to open the bus to switch current.
This product has three posts with horizontal open breaks. JW10 grounding switches may be attached to the product at one or two sides. 72.5~252kV isoalting siwtch adopts CJ2 or SRCJ2 manual actuator to realize the tri-ole linkage. The grounding switch adopts CS11 or SRCS manual actuator to actualize tri-pole linkage. 363kV isoalting switch adopts SRCJ2 motor's actuator to realize the single pole operation; while the grounding switch takes SRCS manual actuator or SRCJ2 motor's actuator to realize the single pole operation and also tri-pole linkage.

Purpose
High voltage disconnectors are divided into indoor type and outdoor type. The outdoor type includes single pole switch and three pole disconnector, which is often used as the first circuit breaker isolating switch to separate the power supply line from the user; the indoor type is often connected in series with the high-voltage circuit breaker to ensure the reliability of power failure. In addition, in the high-voltage complete set of power distribution equipment, the disconnector is commonly used as voltage transformer, lightning arrester, transformer used in power distribution station and high-voltage control appliance of metering cabinet.
